The Cultural Relations Advisory Board of Dodge City strives to build inclusivity and cultural awareness through their Strategic Plan and collaborative efforts. The board advises the City Commission on matters related to communities of color, ensuring fair and equitable policies and practices. By partnering with organizations like Gateways for Growth, Welcoming America, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, CRAB facilitates accessibility and provides resources to the community.
Through collaborations with local entities, Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas and Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas, CRAB offers a Naturalization Scholarship to qualifying residents. Additional local partnerships include The Unified School District 443, Dodge City Community College and The Adult Learning Center, United Way of Dodge City, and two of the City’s largest employers Cargil Meat Solutions and National Beef. Each of these entities support the City's initiatives and promote a welcoming environment through community events.
